Recommended Gear list
Pro Version:
2x Android Phone with Android 6 or later (preferably something never used by you and nothing to trace back to you personally, otherwise known as a "burner") I have used everything from Android 6 on a Smasung S7 to Android 11 on a S23. I have also used iPhone and lesser-known phones from Ulefone with success.
2x Gorilla Coms units at minimum. More is better because as your mesh network grows so does your reach and capability to communicate over vast distances. keep in mind that you can setup Gorilla coms units as repeaters, so a phone is not required for each device. but 2 phones/tablets/computers are needed at least to see messages.
2x cases for the phone so that it doesn't get broken if dropped.
2x USBc-USBc data cable (this is for a serial connection to Gorilla coms from the phone, for when you do not want to have a Bluetooth connection broadcasting all the time)
2x backup battery for extended use. I like the Anker brand.
From this point you will have the ability to communicate effectively without any troubles.
Simple Version:
2x phones that will work with Meshtastic. Your personal phone should be compatible if it is running at least android 6 or later, or iOS 16.2

With the above setup you will be able to message over distance without a cellular connection
Team/Tribe Version:
1x per team member, Android Phone with Android 6 or later (preferably something never used by you and nothing to trace back to you personally, otherwise known as a "burner") I have used everything from Android 6 on a Smasung S7 to Android 11 on a S23. This will be the best for teams to get everyone on the same communications network.
