Off-grid in relation to communications

What does the off-grid mean

Looking at the words off-grid in relation to tools and communication it simply means no grid power, no cellphone connectivity, no internet connectivity, often remote locations. Sometimes can also mean very adverse environments.

When we design/build tools for off grid we do so with the end goal in mind.

How we start that process is as simple as Who/What/Where/when/why…
Who is using the tool
What’s the tools intended purpose
Where will the tool need to operate
When does the tool need to be applied
Why does the world need this tool

That last one is always a sticking point because we are inventors and visionary people here. So we always want to make cool stuff. But there have been many a stratagem session that boiled down to…nope. Can we? Ya sure!!! Should we? Nope.

If you need to be away from cellphones/internet, outside of your typical communications space, then you need to be able to solve that problem your self by having the needed tools to continue to communicate.
