Maximus Antenna Guide Clip (MOLLE)

This isn't a generic cable clip we bought off a shelf. This is a purpose-built component, engineered specifically to manage the geometry of Iron Spear Maximus Antennas.

These clips are manufactured in-house using a proprietary blend of liquid polymers. This unique formulation provides the perfect balance of rigidity to hold the antenna secure and the "memory" to flex without snapping under stress.

Most retention clips on the market make a critical mistake: they grip the antenna too tightly. When you bend, twist, or go prone, a tight clip forces the antenna to kink or stress the connector. The Iron Spear Antenna Guide Clip is different. It creates a "floating" channel that contains the antenna close to your kit but allows it to slide and flex freely. It captures the whip, but lets it move with you.

"We couldn't find a commercial plastic clip that met our standards—everything was either too brittle in the cold or too soft to hold retention. So, we developed our own material. This polymer blend allows the clip to take a beating while letting the Maximus antenna 'float' exactly how it was designed to. Don't use this on other antennas; the tolerances are tight, and it’s tuned specifically for ours. We see guys using zip ties or electrical tape to secure their antennas, and it drives us crazy. When you tape an antenna down, you create a stress point. The first time you take a knee, that antenna wants to flex, and if it can't slide, it's going to snap or break the connector. This clip is a 'guide,' not a clamp. It does the job properly."
